Mortal Kombat vs Marvel vs Capcom vs Soul Calibur vs Tekken vs Smash Bros

So, we have 5 very popular fighting games. Each series with it's own unique style to it. Which is the best fighting game in your opinion?

Forgot Street Fighter, and don't know how to edit the poll. But definitely a great game in it's own right. I feel ashamed for forgetting this.

Smash Bros is the most fun

Smash bros is pretty fun, but it's also one of the easiest fighting games IMO. Because in smash bros you don't have combos (which are obviously difficult to pull off since you have to memorize them and do them properly). You have your basic moves, and you have your smash moves. But none of them require more than 2 buttons to successfully pull off.

I'm not as competitive when I play this compared to other fighting games, because it's literally a clown fiesta the entire time (assuming you have items turned on and more than 2 people). But there's nothing wrong with that. I enjoy throwing bom-ombs at my friends or smacking them with hammers til their heads explode.

Mortal Kombat for sure lol

I do like King of Fighters,VIrtua Fighter,Tekken,Soul Calibur,Dead or Alive and Marvel VS Capcom though. Too bad theres no more Virtua Fighter games being made, the last one came out for PS3 lol Vanessa Lewis was my favorite character to use in VF.

I do not play Smash Bros whatsoever lol

Soul calibur because it had everything thing I wanted well the old ones from soul blade to SC 2, 4 had hildegard. :3c

Soul calibur (old ones) > guilty gear (none of the blaze blue trash) > street fighter > Virtua fighter > dead or alive > the rest is dumpster material or I'm forgetting.

If we are going current/newest versions disregard my comment. Since many new games are not so hot.

Soul Calibur 2 (game cube version) CVS2 KOF98, 2002, and 13 (yes they are crossover games) MVC1,2 and 3

Soul Calibur (dreamcast version) was pretty much the best a fighting game has ever been or will ever be.

Smash Bros is a great party game but is not the same genre. I really don't care about the few weirdos who try to make it a competitive 1v1 game, that's not what it's for and not what it's about. It would be like trying to make League into a competitive 1v1 game.

I'm surprised Marvel vs Capcom even have votes.

You're asking a bunch of weebs what the best fighting game is, ofc it's going to be smash.

I prefer mvc though. Everything feels so fluid, no items or out of bounds crap like smash/sc. Tekken is my next favorite though.

I like smash brothers, Tekken and Soul Caliber, at least 2 and 3, 4 okay and 5 was pretty meh. I was still a fan of playing patroklos alpha even though I've never been good at Setsuka. I'm voting smash brothers because I have more fun with it. Jin will always be my dude for Tekken.

Blazblue is an easy runner up.

better question is who is the strongest out of all the games?

Tekken 7 is lit, fam. Have you never played an Arcsys game? GG is nutty. My personal favorite fighting game is probably 3rd Strike.

Honorable mention is ST because it's what got me into fighting games.

Had to cast my vote for Mortal Kombat.

They put most of the information in front of you, then let you figure out the more advanced stuff like timing, how to chain one combo into a special, etc.

Marvel vs Capcom is up there, and they do a great job of chaotic fights between two players. They're the only game series that does Tag battles REALLY well.

SSB is also great, but it isn't a typical fighter either. I feel it's best considered a brawler with party elements.

Soul Calibur is another favorite of mine, and the 3D weapon fighting makes sense. But both it and Tekken fall under the issue of "too many possible commands", in my experience.

smash i guess

Linna Excel9/30/2017, 1:54:47 AM1 votes

I miss virtua fighter. :(

Soul Calibur hasn't been good in awhile.

I have to go with tekken because it's the only one on the list I'd be willing to play.
