Banning/Muting Accounts is a joke...

Okay. So recently(not too recently) the league community has taken a dive into the depths of being severely butt hurt at the chat box.

and no I don't mean butt hurt about the game/players (we have been butt hurt about that for centuries)

I mean the reports for aggressive language have risen since RIOT has decided to ban/mute players when they are cursing/ saying offensive things more frequently than ever before.

My question is, what happened to the community to fall to this level of butt hurt? We used to be able to say anything we wanted and people would breeze it off. I have been playing league on multiple accounts for many years(about 5 or 6 now) (I HAVE NEVER BEEN BANNED KEEP IN MIND)(or muted) and now all of the sudden you cannot say anything to anyone or its a mute. THERE IS A CHAT FILTER. So why are people being banned for language? If they dont want to get cursed at or whatever why do you have your chat filter turned off?

OHH right so you can see the words instead of stars. So in my opinion if you can handle seeing the language why is it ban/mute worthy? Even if you are just seeing stars can you really get offended that someone told you to **** off? What word did I intend to use there? (It didn't start with an F if you are wondering).

Also, if someone is harassing you enough to where their language is offensive there is a mute button.. seriously one of the easiest things to tab and click, I have done it many times. I just don't get why we go to the extreme of all these reports when you have two systems in place that prevent those things from happening. Only in NA have I experience such a hostile mute/ban system because everyone just has a hatred for the community and can't wait to ban someone because they know the second they say one little thing they can report them and then the next day they received a little message in their inbox saying you guys have served justice to whom ever they have reported and they can feel like a ban hammer god or something.

Also being highly unfair to the person who has probably spent money on your game and if banned can no longer have anything they have worked their butts off for whether it be irl money they invested in your game or their time. Just to be banned because someone could not handle some bashing. Quite ridiculous to say the least.

Your community has it's fair share of people over the age of 18 (myself included) so why do we treat everyone like their are 12 years old tattling on each other to their mums for some foul language. I understand if someone is a complete jerk and went on the whole match but if you see one line from a person and ban them over it? Did you check the conversation to see why it was said? What actions or chat provoked something? Because a lot goes on in a league game that frankly leaves you infuriated. Sometimes the only thing to be said is mean...

BANS FOR CHAT SHOULD NOT BE A THING. A fair mute for a while(or a long while) but a ban?
