Is it ever possible to receive a penalty for clicking decline on ready check?

Sometimes after someone dodges while in pregame lobby, I'll decline the next ready check to make sure I get a new group that won't ban the champion that they now knew I was playing, or for whatever reason. Is it possible to receive a penalty by declining? Even after doing it multiple times in a day (which I don't find myself doing at all, but just trying to get an idea of whether it is or is not punishable)

Yes. After declining enough games, you'll get the same penalty as dodging champ select.

Why not just cancel the queue, wait a couple minutes, then enter queue again? lmao

i think i remember if you did it too many times it would lock you out of queuing for a minute or two but that was years ago, i haven't been bored enough to try since

While it is possible, the way you describe won't trigger it.

You have tor repeatedly decline games to get punished. Basically, unless you're trolling, it won't come up.

That said, if you KNOW you're going to decline the queue, it is preferable to just drop queue and wait a few minutes.
