Banned for refusing to surrender.

So I just played a game where the pre-made on my team wanted to give up at ~5minutes when the score was 1-2. "Open mid" they said. I refused and kept playing. My team did not like that. At 15 minutes when I voted no on the early surrender they called me out. I told them it's not all about winning, just because they're "diamond" and ahead a little doesn't mean we should give up. Maybe you can learn something by playing the game out vs. better opponents? My team REALLY didn't like that I said this. They all said they were reporting me, and sure enough I was banned IMMEDIATELY after the game and given the chat log of just my chat.. asking my team to play and not give up.

Is this normal? I have most the match recorded (can only record past 20minutes on my gfx card).

Anyway, no interest in playing anymore if this is how Riot runs things.. just thought this information might be helpful to others. Thanks for reading.

1 report counts the same as 9. If you got banned, it's because the Instant Feedback System saw something in your chat that it deemed worthy of a punishment.

Too many people before you have claimed things like this while actually lying. We cannot take you at your word on this.

If you want feedback or support from the community with your problem, please provide your unedited chat logs for us to see.

You have to understand that sometimes, when you're playing a game like 7v40, your team will surely be desperate to surrender. Probably to save themselves from anymore frustration.
