Now, first things first. I’m Not Against Diversity. The problem comes when you don’t allow a group of people to participate in something that would help the community grow. Remember that we ALL live on this world and the only way we can learn is if we work together.

That being said; what Riot did was not only illegal, but also shows them in a bad light. Having a employee support what you did and attack about 80% of the community and not getting rid of him day one is just bad business. It took you week to do it and most companies would done it the second he tweeted that shit.

So, what you can continue to do, because I already you are doing this; fix up the inter workings of the company. So everyone gets a fair chance of showing off there ideas, regardless of skin or gender. Make sure the bro culture is tamed. Really now, you’re a billion dollar company and you allowed this? If they want to act like idiots at there own time, that’s fine with me; but at work you should have some standards. Also I would like a statement from Riot, I know we are not going to get one, but I can dream. All it would had to say is that we’re sorry to the community, even though we had pure intentions, we just did terrible job. And hope we can make it up to the community and do a better job next time.

The thing is though is that I’m not going to forgive you and I think most of us won’t. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. You’re lucky to have such an amazing game and should treat it with better care. That’s all I have to say, now all we can do is wait to see what Riot does next.

They fumbled the execution of an event made with good intentions, they just need to apologize for it it's not as big of a deal as people keep making it out to be.

If it was illegal, sue them and make lots of money.

But wait, it wasn't. You're just saying that for the propaganda.

Actually it is over, PAX is past, men aren't worse off after all and DZK has been fired. What is there to discuss?

I'm good. Thet made a mistake for sure with the event, I doubt that will happen again. The bigger picture was that a riot employee was openly referring to us, his customers, in a very disrespectful way. What he said about the company's customers was not ok, allowing him to be a hypocrit to Riots policies was not ok. Now I doubt another rioter will make the same mistake and they will likely not make the same mistake again..

Yes it violated our civil rights, but they obviously did this last minute and didn't stop to think "wait, can we legally do this?" It was an oversight for sure, but also a typical human error / lack of judgment. But, the reason many of us were upset was that we were talked down to for voicing our concerns. Riot just showed us that our voices aren't ignored as the former employees had us believe... they were intently listened to, which is what we deserve considering we are the heart and blood of their game.

It wasn't illegal. The convention was ticket access, and therefore private. Different rules govern private events.

Secondly, the event was opened to the full public at a later time. This event had a specific goal of allowing for women to have frank and honest discussions without being intimidated or questioned by men, which is why men were turned away until later. The kind of honesty that was trying to be fostered by this would have never been achieved if men were present.

It was poorly planned and executed at a bad time, but the event itself wasn't bad, nor was it really that big of a deal. People are seriously blowing this out of proportion and have literally let it ruin their vacation. This is legitimately no different than if the event had been delayed until 2:30, except I guarantee you people would have just gone and done other things until then - they only got upset because someone else was doing something they weren't allowed to do until later. Like, let's bring this down to earth here and really look at it. So you weren't let into an all girls club for a few hours. Big fucking deal. Go to the artist's alley, the market room, the Riot showroom next door, or literally any of the other things happening at the expo, then come back at 2:30. Don't sit there and fume and waste the time you paid for just being angry - enjoy the con and come back later. It's honestly that simple, but people just let this thing ruin their entire experience because they couldn't go where they wanted to when they wanted to so they got mad and threw internet tantrums.
