Using smash bros to explain the current situation in League right now
You know that Smash character, Ganon? "DORYAH" Lookin ass dude? You know how he can kill people at literally 0% if he positions right? He's balanced, because he's a bit slow, range is a bit short, theres mild delay on his smash attacks, and is easily suceptable to long range poke. However, super skilled ganondorf players can work around this, and curbstomp the shit outta you. Get in his zone, u ded boi.
You know that Smash character, Fox? "TAH HEY TAH HEY- COMMON KUROYA-UWAHHHHHHHHHH!" Lookin ass dude? He moves super fast, and can string insane combos. He can take a character from 0% to 50% quite easily. He is balanced because he's light, so he's easy to launch, learning combos are important, as slipping up makes you super vulnerable, and his smash attacks are super short range. Skill is important with him, and its what seperates a trash fox who only dash attacks, to a master who can 0% to 100% you. Be prepared for when he comes to you, and counter him well.
Now imagine. What if, you gave Ganon the speed of fox? Someone who can move super fast, easily string combos, easily punish, and 1 shot you with tons of cushion room.
Sounds busted right? Unbalanced at all?
this ganon fox hybrid is essentially what divers in this game have become. I feel far more tanky as kled top, as opposed to illaoi top. Riven has done more damage than me, even after I went aftershock darius (this was before the dari buff), and even after i canceled her knockup. With damage creep, we've essentially given divers the damage of juggernauts. Instead of nerfing divers, what do we do?
....Like seriously, what did we do? Darius got a buff on his Q, Naut got damage buffs (NOT sustainability buffs), Renekton got buffed (for some reason. He was oppressive before this buff), etc.
Can we just nerf damage overall? Please? It'd make this game more interesting, and it'd make skill far more apparent. Sure, a skilled ganon could still shine with this fox ganon hybrid, but it would probably look the same in the hands of a novice. It used to mean something when you mained riven or vayne, you got respect. Now, people hate them, because damage is overtuned, and people play these champions for the sake of bandwagoning.
