Honestly no, it's really not. I started late in BFA, played for two weeks, finished the raid (I forget what it's called), then realized there wasn't really much else to do and quit. BFA didn't really add anything at all of substance to the game, and the content it did add like allied races and the azerite necklace feel like an extreme grind fest. If you're just coming back, or just starting out, you won't be able to make an Allied race until you grind out old content reputation all the way to exalted. There are way too many artificial time sinks to try to extend play time without actually giving you much of value.
Why is there an Elementalist Lux cosplay tho?
I'd say it depends on your reasons to play the game. If you want to casually play you'll probably run out of things to do pretty fast. If you want to grind end game content, you can find yourself pretty busy farming Azerite, mythic+ dungeons, mythic raid, professions or reputation. The question is if this sounds like fun to you.
