Off meta build that I found fun to play
So I've been having fun with this champ and this build - Predator full AP
- take Flash + Ignite
Here's the build:
+ 4
Rush:
Then bulid:
and if you're really commited build
Rest of the build is just standard AP items (deathcap, void staff, morellos against pesky vladimirs and sorakas)
Here are the runes - Domination - take Predator, Sudden impact, eyeball collection/zombie ward, ingenious hunter (you can get protobelt and predator boots to insanely low cds with this rune) Sorcery - Nimbus cloak + Celerity
If your lane matchup looks terrible take bone plating and second wind <- dont do this. If you do this you're dead to me.
Pros:
-Rakan's predator running animation is hilarious. DA DA DA DA DA DA DA
-Rakan's laning isn't as bad as everyone thinks, especially bottom lane (patch 8.11 hehexd). Boots + 4 pots can allow you to sustain through a lot of laning phases. Can be taken top, mid or bottom lane carry.
-Predator bonus damage + Ultimate + W + Q + Protobelt burst is guaranteed to heavily chunk any squishy. If you're ahead enough it'll kill them.
-Protobelt can instaclear waves :P
-Taken bottom lane, if you have an aggressive support like
then you can annoy and surprise the shit out of your enemy laners by activating predator -> w + q -> ignite. Guaranteed to chunk.
-Does well (from my personal experience) against
. Is pretty good taken against traditional marksmen bottom.
Cons:
-Not viable at higher elos
-People might flame the crap out of you in ranked games (Disclaimer: Please don't take this into ranked games, especially if you never played Rakan before. I got flamed in normal drafts for taking this to the point where I was called autistic. But jokes on them I have over a 70% wr with this in normal draft games :P)
-Build not viable with a support income
-Terrible against a lot of mid lane picks, especially
-If your combo is down your damage falls lower than my current self esteem.
Have fun everybody! (I'll probably regret making this post as this pick was my surprise! pick in norms. Probably why I'm not posting this on reddit. Keep this a little secret, please) <- this last request is utterly ridiculous but hey I tried
