Trying to get Mastery 7-Tokens feels like a kick to the family-jewels

TLDR: Mastery 7-Tokens (Rating S or S+) are a pain in the butt to get. Needs more clarity on how to reach these ratings.

Soooo, during this preseason i try to get some of my Champs to Mastery 7. Recently im trying this for Jhin. Despite having awesome games where i have the most farm in game, the most damage dealt, great KDA (multiple times ending games legendary with the least amount of deaths in game), helping my team get objectives, etc. i barely manage to reach even an S- Rating.

Just some of those games: 1: 16-4-10 (legendary at the end), 242 cs (highest in game), most damage, destroyed 1 tower (17k dmg on objectis, 2nd overall), 37 min game. Rating: S-

2: 15-5-26 (legendary at the end), 285 cs (highest in game), most damage, destroyed 2 towers (21k dmg to objectives, 3rd overall), 47 min game. Rating: A+

3: 12-0-8, 143 cs (highest in game), most damage, helped destroy 3 towers (7k dmg to objectives, 3rd overall), 23 min game. Rating: A+

4: 19-5-8 (legendary at the end), 147 cs (3rd overall), destroyed 4 towers (28k dmg to objectives, 1st overall), 29 min game. Rating: A+

Also i help to get neutral objectives every time i can (Dragon, Scuttle, Harald, Baron, enemy Junglecamps) AND im using my damn wards and buy vision wards.

What am i missing for a damn M7-Rating? :(

Also just to remind you, you're not competing with your teammates for S. You're competing against every other Jhin ever. You need to play above the average to get an above the average grade.

Easiest way to get it is to duo with somebody who is really bad so you can play against easier opponents and hard carry.

I assume it’s your CS. Your 16-4-10 game lastet 37 minutes for example which means 6.5 CS per minute. Bring that up to 8 at least and you should get your S. You’re more likely to get an S/S+ with outstanding farm and an average KDA than an outstanding KDA and less farm.

It’s comparing you to other Jhin’s with your mmr and the stats they get on average per game. That’s why when a champ first comes out you can go like 10/2/6 150 cs in 23 min and probably get an S. The reason for that is the average hasn’t been set yet. But then if you come back in a month and try the same thing you’ll probably only get like an A.

I think it has something to do with your gold income throughout the game. So farming early is really important. Dont focus on trading let you supp do that. Just farm unless you can get a kill

It's more like they're a pain to use because it costs you BE.

CS is by far the most important part of score. I've always thought that backward, because while CS is important, it's important only because it gives you the gold that you need to do the important things. If you secure objectives, get lots of takedowns, and have amazing vision score, the amount of gold that you earned while doing it should be the least important thing.
