me and my friend decided to make some new accounts on a diffrent server to see what rank we could get, we're normally g4 and g1 we que up and start in iron 4 when we won and clearly had positive score my friend with 21/4 we get 60 lp from that game we play 7 more and win 6/7 and lastly we get placed b4 and b3... while our mmr is g4 and we're matched against plat sometimes... how is this fair??

The system was made to discourage players from playing on secondary accounts. You can still play if you want to but you will get placed against higher tier players without getting credit for it.

The system isn't trying to be fair for smurfs, it is trying to tell you to play on your main.

its a true hard reset really. I see it as their way to punish smurfs since it takes a lot to climb now instead of being placed g5.

honestly its good for the game... why? bc smurfs are still going to play regardless. New players might quit before they even start, if they always have to deal with smurfs. Its the right move by Riot. Only problem is... Now its tough for a new player to rise up, even if he's good. Which I guess for the company is good bc they keep that player playing longer. But for us its kinda lame, hate grinding.

The new system is great imo. It helps new players who are not very experienced to play ranked without dropping from silver to bronze once they start playing ranked and it makes smurfing less attractive. Smurfing just makes matchmaking more imbalanced, so making this less attractive is welcomed.
