Back in the day I think Evelynn was hard because her clear was difficult (still is kinda), and things were just harder to kill back than.

Evelyn is difficult to use correctly. You need to really get her clears down and be aware of exactly what she's capable of.

I think those difficulty meters are geared more towards new players. If you haven't been playing for long then yeah it's gonna be really difficult to understand how to use Eve.

Difficulty isn't just MECHANICS. Eve is very simple champion, but if you've ever played her, you have to position perfectly in fights to be able to assassinate people. Try playing eve and see how hard she is. The champion has a very hard stealth mechanic to play around, especially when ganking. Similar to champions like Kha'Zix who have a very simple and easy kit have difficult PLAYSTYLES to work with. Don't look at a champions kit and judge, look at what the kit can do.
