A question for those who are good at keeping team from tilting...

How do I tell my team what they are doing wrong without getting them to tilt? Alot of times I see a teamate chase kills, leave the team behind, or go into an enemy champion knowing that they will probably lose. So I tell them not to chase or not to engage on an enemy (I tend to frantically issue danger pings since that is much faster than typing), because I know they will die, and instead they not only go through with it and die as predicted, but also repeat that mistake over and over again. Im in gold and whenever I tell people their mistakes I either get a "STFU" or a "fck u" so how do i tell my team what not to do and not have them tilt and lose us the game?

You don't tell them not to do something, you gift them things then ask for favors. People tend to be more obedient if you give them something first (it's a psychological mechanism, they feel like they owe you something). You have to prepare it as soon as possible, don't wait for the situation where your leadership is required to happen. By that time, you already must have set a hierarchy so that your team listens to you.

Observe your mates and listen to them. If you cooperate at least a bit with several of them, even for simple tasks (that's actually better because you can't fail these tasks so they keep a good feeling of these actions), they'll trust you more when your turn to need them will come.

If you need their help, don't give orders, explain your intention: "I'm going to split to take a tower"; "I'm ready to tp for drake", "I'm waiting for them to engage", etc. You can also ping where you're going when it involves their decision making in the following 10 to 15 seconds (not further, they mostly don't think the game that ahead).

They have to feel like they can refuse, and you have to keep some room to retract if they do so. With practice and experience, you can be more effective and commit more as you know who will follow and who won't.

You don't.
