Whats the point of ranked?

Is there an actual point to ranked? The 5 games of ranked I've played have been terrible and have only made me want to blow my brains out because of how my teammates react, there so angry and salty and I admit I'm pretty bad at the game and seem to be doing worse in ranked than any other game mode. Is there any point in playing ranked? I mean in just 5 games Ive actually wanted to kill myself ( not even joking ).

The only thing you get out of ranked is an emblem, right? I feel like if I play anymore Leauge of Legends im actually going to end myself
