I think Riot firing Sanjuro was a good decision

Cz it goes to show that they literally follow the concept of banning players from using foul languages into their own branches as well.

Is it the same concept though?

Lets be honest, the worst that would happen to someone who said the same thing in game is a 14 day ban. Yes, it's bad, but not permaban on the spot bad. And instead of a reprimand or a suspension, he's "permabanned" from his job.

Maybe I'm just in the dark because I'm not on Reddit much, but the Boards post talking about what he did was at 30 upvotes when the Reddit post was at 10k upvotes. Granted, the Reddit post chose some juicy quotes for their title, but I can't help but feel like if it wasn't for Reddit's reaction he would still have his job.

I feel bad for the dude, but he really did bring it on himself, I really do wish for the best for him with wherever he lands.

that has nothing to do with it.

it was the fact it made riot look bad in a public setting.

as an employee for a company regardless of what it is you are a representative of that company and what you do can shed negative light on that company and by making that bad judgement.

so basically by him doing this and being a public figure and doing it on his RIOT handle/account as well is basically by default saying riot "supports " his statements

so they had no choice to fire him due to the public image nightmare it caused
