GETTING TROLLED?????? DO NOT USE CHAT OR YOU WILL GET BANNED

TL;DR You respond to trolls in chat you get banned. Riot doesn't care about people going out of their way to ruin your experience, only about number of chat messages and number of times people clicked report on your account. DO NOT USE CHAT.

Riot's new system only takes into account a couple things: how many messages you typed, how many reports you received over so many games, and if people reported you or not.

None of this includes actual behavior.

I have had multiple instances of getting my account banned because a single troll or premade trolls reported me for not doing well in game or for getting annoyed when they followed me around the map and took my farm i tried to go for so i start asking why and talking to them..... or thgings like saying "they're being a baby for trolling you over OTHERS trolling them." Apparently this warrants bans for myself but not the ones trolling.

Due to how this system works whenever I attempt to speak with support I either get the auto-banning system to look at the areas I mentioned that don't account for ACTUAL behavior and ban me for more in game texts or I get a real person saying "well you had so many reports over so many games."

Clearly they don't wish to acknowledge premade groups troll report people if they dont like them or how they play...... So people like myself who are trying to get on the better side of toxicity without reacting end up getting further punished for dealing with trolls, only to come back, attempt to keep our emotions in check AS REQUESTED by the community, then have the same thing happen and get punished..... because even if you don't say anything back the number of reports stays on your account in case others do it over the next 20 games..... so if you ever simply talk to the enemy team, your chat messages will get flagged if accompanied with a report. When I speak to the support team they just quote policy and don't bother with "who started it," which means if someone starts trolling you first and you respond back.....they've now trolled you successfully having ruined your game AND now having got you banned from the accumulation of previous reports and the number of messages in chat being flagged. I'm not sure they understand how often this occurs on a real level beyond the flat statistics that don't tell the full story.

I recommend not using chat whatsoever if you do not want to get banned from trolls like I did. This anti-toxicity system hurts the wrong people just because they type something questioning the people trolling instead of actually DOING something to hurt the game like the people in question may be doing.

This game is no longer a fun environment to play in due to this. I hope for the best for those who opt to stay. USE CHAT AT YOUR OWN CAUTION. You never know who is reporting you without saying anything that may later affect your account like it did me, even if you have not done anything to deserve the report.

Calling someone "useless and they should kill themselves" is considered ok when it comes from trolls with less reports but calling someone a "baby" for trolling you and having a greater number of reports on your account means more to Riot. I know someone personally who types "GG EZ" non stop and doesn't get anything done to his account for it. It's become a running joke between us. I see people smack talked to the point where they don't even want to play but then because they went AFK they get banned and not the group of people picking on that one person.

End of the day its about statistics, not about curbing ACTUAL toxicity. Use chat at your own caution...... Stick to pings, voice chat, or another program altogether. I truly hope this doesn't happen to anyone else..... It's not fun to come back from work and waste the only free time you have with a troll to then get banned on the back end of it. Chat logs posted for my half if anyone thinks I did something deserving of a ban while getting my farm stolen and smack talked....... I responded a lot because this has happened to me on multiple occasions. I have put up with the punishments previously and tried to be the bigger man and focus on bettering myself.... but I keep running into this issue and come out on the lesser end of it just because my frustration ramps up with no solution in sight despite me trying to follow policy.... Please up this post, you're not alone, I got Chat Restricted after a game in which all of my team, including me, decided to stay in base waiting for FF, while this was happening, me and my team chatted about various common stuff, apparently, the enemy reported us all and probably we all got a sanction.

Report system sucks ass and needs to be changed.

What bothers me the most, is that I sent a ticket to Riot Support, and they told me that they "Only check my chat history, and they will NOT REVISE THE ENEMY OR THE OTHER ALLIES'S CHAT BECAUSE OF PRIVACY", I call 100% bullshit, how is that "Privacy Invasion"? You are checking my chat after all, that means you're invading my privacy, thus I could literally just sue you? But no, that's not how it works, if you can see mine, you can see anyone's chat and that is NOT PRIVACY INVASION, it's not like you're spying on a personal chat, it's an in-game's chat.

This said, they could "not check anybody else's chat" because of that, but if they can't then they have ABSOLUTELY ZERO rights to judge the situation, because they're only checking ONE SINGLE chat history, that means they will ALWAYS, ALWAYS be out of context.

I've had friends who got banned (Magical Doremi is the banned acc), because he flamed someone who was int feeding. I've had a Chat Restriction after asking in all chat for reports against a int feeder, to what the enemy laughed and agreed to report ME INSTEAD.

I've seen cases in which people get sanctions after 5man premade games in which they report each other for fun.

Stop it riot, your report system sucks.

You're completely free to use the chat when getting trolled. But the rules that you don't insult people doesn't disappear just because you have a troll.

A week ago I got a chat restriction after my adc got killed in lane and accused me of trolling, to what i tried to explain why he was killed, with no actual negative behavior, to what he proceeded to flame and aggressively keep insulting me.

I decided to mute him and called him a Tyler1 wannabe and that i was going to roam and help the rest carry him.

Apparently calling someone a Tyler1 is a grave insult and roaming is negative behavior.

Meanwhile Draven was running it down botlane several times while probably flamming while I had him in mute.

Did he get a punishment? Not one.

And just for the record, this is what my chat history looked like:

Don't use chat it's a trap !!! Rito doesn't care about context and never bans some people (hint:it's the ones with the nice skins, maaaannnyy skins).

"i will cut off your head and your family" this is what a player said to me, i opened a ticket posted a few other things he said "cancer .. this" "cancer .. that" .. and after a week finally a gm said he's gonna "look into it" AFTER A WEEK. That player is still playing the game today .. (riot support is abysmal, at best)

Don't expect any kind of help from anyone, they don't care, no one does, not the community not the gm's everyone's TOXIC or in rito's case maybe incompetent.

It's like a bully in the classroom keeps spitballing you in the back of the head so you finally yell out loud in the middle of class for them to stop.... then the kid gets punished for yelling in class at the bully because yelling at people is mean but the bully has done it other times but never been caught while the victim student is seen as the issue.

And this is why this system will never work as intended. The greater issue is not being looked into. Only the issues with reports.... only when the teacher hears the yelling......
