Is League of Legends Store Considered DLC?

Most have said no, I say yes. You download, you paid for em, its content (Cosmetics). The only standing ground it has it it's pre-downloaded, but if you compare it to other online game with cosmetics they are considered DLC, but league somehow gets a pass? Most cosmetics with online gameplay are preloaded in some why, else how can you see the cosmetic otherwise if you don't own them?

Eh. It's a free to play game so aesthetic shop items are their main source of income. I wouldn't call it DLC in this case.

You don't download the content after you buy it, so from a purely technical standpoint, no. Similar to how WoW mounts are not technically DLC.

But in the end, what we choose to call it is largely irrelevant. It is a form of microtransactions. I happen to have no objection to microtransactions as long as they are not handled in a way where the game makes such transactions feel necessary... but to each their own, I say.

In my opinion, it needs to be separately downloaded and not required for playing the game. Being paid for or not is irrelevant.

WoW Expansions are not DLC, as regardless of whether you're able to be playing on the current expansion content you still have that data downloaded. WoW's many add ons, however, are closest to DLC even though they're not official in any capacity.

there are such things as free DLCs. The fact that you can't use the skins until you purchase them does not make them DLCs. It's content that's part of the game. It's just locked behind a paywall.

Most have said no.

You mean everyone but you. So, by that definition, everyone has said no; you're just disagreeing to disagree.

Well, it doesn't matter if it's considered DLC or not. The biggest issue people have with DLC is when you pay $60 for a game, and then have to pay again for more content, which is usually like $10 ~ $20.

League being a Free to play game means there is no issue there.

No, it's already in the files, you just need to purchase access. That's more of a microtransaction (though some of them are quite large).
