Why do you guys think this game lost its fun?
For background i've been playing league since season 2 and my love for the game grew with every new season and every new champion. Until about 3 seasons ago when i started noticing that every new champion was basically required to have an unheard of dash or blink or some sort of movement ability. This was the first big step in making the game less fun for me. I really enjoy a lot of the older champs (lux, ashe, janna, etc) and it just feel horrible watching someone jump multiple times out of fog of war, all the way around you in a circle, and then finally just one shot you. Which brings me to my second opinion. They ramped up damage too much. I do remember that pro season where everyone was complaining because games would end with a kill score of like 4 - 6 total kills and it was miserable to watch. But I had a lot of fun with that meta because you could do a damage check, you could try something new or crazy and not risk dying to one rotation of spells from full health. The game was slower and had more levels of strategy because you had to think past the first rotation of spells. Now everyone is a one shot champion and if you are the first one to make a small mistake, you are probably going to get eviscerated and then snowballed on.
In my mind the game used to be chess, now its just waiting to see who flips the table first. But this is one opinion out of many and I would like to hear what you all think. Do you still have fun with it? Did you ever have a moment like I did where you realized that you stopped having fun with the game? What caused it and (how) did you recover from it?
