Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate or Generations on 3DS?

I've played MH3 and just felt like playing some more from the series. I can't play MH World atm so I'm left with two options here. Which one should I get?

just wait for Generations Ultimate to be released. You would rather stay up to date on the community from there on the newest game. Even though mhw is still going to outclass it in my opinion
