Just to recap this in a more meaningful way - The ruby version (which is basically a darker version of the standard when you get down to it) is bundle locked. The green version is locked to some other nonsense "influencer audience" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean), which leaves 3 options you can buy separately. A yellow version, a light pink version, and a dark pink version.

The fact they stated they want to try doing a limited skin (Kaisai) every event is the worst offender. Not only do you have to buy a pass, but are required to play 4 games a day for two months to aquire.

I was honestly fine with the emote, as I don't use them, but I very much hate the fact that I can't get the green chroma without getting insanely lucky in a streamers giveaway. They should not do chromas for creator content. I just hope it doesn't get any worse.
The Chroma bundle with the Ruby isn't limited time only. The Odyssey Chroma bundles, with the exception of Ziggs, were not Limited Time only either. So at least you will always have an opportunity to get the Amumu Ruby Chroma. This is made that much more easier by the Emporium Chroma sales for BE, in which you can purchase all 3 of the basic chromas, leaving just the Ruby one in the bundle if you go to buy it.
The green one, however, is permanently unavailable unless you figure out who on youtube is distributing the codes and then win one.
So glad I stopped spending money on this game early this year. This is disgusting.

My favorite part is that this is all totally new and Riot certainly never released exclusive content before that the vast majority of people can never acquire. They definitely didn't lock any skins to buying a physical copy of the game 8 years ago or anything. Or allow people to get in game items named after them for referring a hundred people to LoL.
Nothing hilarious about it. This is all very serious and original and reflective of the current state of the game and entirely unlike the good old days in season 1.

The reason why Riot locks a red chroma behind a paywall is because in China red is a lucky color and desirable to have. So why not lock it behind a window so they have to pay for all of the chromas.
