Why do turrets seem to be helping enemy team ?

Turrets don't feel like an actual threat anymore. They seem like a hindrance to get over. Enemy jg and laner can dive you as early as level 3-4 and turrets just stand there hitting 1 shot at very slow speed. And then they give fuck ton of gold to winning enemy, like "like heyy, you just killed my laner, here is 160 gold for you!xD" repeated 4 times. Total gold given by plates plus first turret is around 1000g. Might as well heal the enemy if they dive you. IMO turret gold should be nerfed coz you are inherently rewarded for destroying turrets as more of map is open for you. The thing is that turret seem utterly useless if you start to fall behind. Coz of the snowbally nature of current meta, you could be dove again and again and turret just look dumb at this stage.

Riot wanted more kills. So they nerfed turrets to reduce the safety they provided. Riot didn't think that was enough. So they continually nerfed defenses while scaling up offense. Riot wanted more flashy plays, so they repeated the above because they forgot that "fun to watch" doesn't equal "fun to play".

Now we're in Season 9 where the problems of previous seasons are still abundant because Riot believe that this game is best played as Top Down Call of Duty TDM rather than an objective based MOBA that it was originally designed as.

If you are behind, turret gold forces winning enemy to stay there instead of roaming and winning other lanes, resulting in map-wide deathball. Now if he stays, your lanes have some breathing room before the deathball, and if he roams, you get his plating instead Also, towers actually do some nice damage, pre-6 diving without some means to escape means death. Of course, by "diving" I mean "you are staing near/behind the turret, and someone dives you", not "someone jumps at you, you run to the tower, enter tower range at <30% hp and die with enemy getting 1 tower hit". Towers aren't supposed to grant you invulnerability while oneshotting enemy champions At least this isn't Dota, where towers hit much weaker and the only reason its safer rhere is because teammates can tp-save you

Yup, towers feel so useless nowadays. I hope they will use pre-season to make towers more powerful again, it's utterly ridiculous being able to die UNDER YOUR TOWER with full HP, all skills and summoner spells ready, because 2 players dove you at lv 3-4 :I

Turrets have been nerfed for nearly 7 straight seasons, oh sure riot often claims it's a buff, but neither their numbers nor in practice does it actually improve the situation. Adding first tower destruction gold and gold per plate was entirely a mistake, now it boils down to whoever gets a lead in the first five minutes usually wins the game, it's disgusting.

They are utterly useless lol if you get dived by the enemy jungler and the other laner constantly then you might as well just give up the turret because it won't be of any use to you.

My theory is that it will allow players in the LCS to be able to make plays that appear amazing to the untrained eye, so Riot will have more to work with when they try to shove LCS shit down our throats. Most of us, however, know that with Riot catering to the one shot meta where you can dive almost risk free, because a turret is about as threatening as a bowl of gelatin. The only way to play it safe anymore is to stay two turrets behind, and even that's a huge maybe.

I am not gonna lie i feel like my turret is helping the enemy snowball harder with the turret plating however the alternative is unpunished roaming.

Your arguments make absolutely no sense that a 2.5 stat increase due to aftershock is a reason towers are useless because if that’s how you want to put it then any tower dive without a aftershock champions is 150% more difficult ?

Not to mention the bulwark buff added to towers to make it even more difficult to damage them after a successful gank.

If you wanna take into account the whole game ok we perfectly can. Let’s talk about the comeback systems that exist to help Laners behind comeback through successful outplays against champions meant to win lane.

You argue that ignite is broken but after it’s nerf the damage is back to the same that it has been at since patch V1.0.0.96 ( gevious wounds nerfed to 40% in season 6 )are you telling me ignite is just broken since the existence of the game ?

If anything this entire season has seen a reduction in burst in the game with durability added in every level of the game through minor runes nerfs to all damage runes nerf to ignite while durability options in the game have been allowed to remain strong yet everyone screams damage is out of control.

Like nobody on this board wants to admit but if someone just sucks and feeds someone 5 kills ya they are gonna kill anything in a second but why the hell did it get to that point ?

The allistar tower diving you wasn’t the reason you lost the game or the turret not doing enough damage it’s the 3 other deaths you had that allowed him the gold to afford the health to do the tower dive and above this why is a champion with aftershock in a position to tower dive you like what does that lane even look like.

This argument can stem for half a century over a million points and I love this game and you are one of those board people who just need to complain about everything so we will never agree on anything so just watch the video and look at the numbers discuss what this thread is about.

Turrets should deal the same amount of damage to minions but should one-hit champions! That would be fun game!
