When they ruined Spore.

I'm still fucking salty about how hard they fucked what could have been an amazing game.

basically started with the xbox 360 and ps3 era when they declared war on game ownership

They tainted their soul with their first victim, Westwood, in 2003 They have now succeeded in ruining the gaming industry, because every other big company is copying their hitler policies

It's been a while to say the least. I know they were voted worst company at least 2 years in a row.

It was the early 2000s, I believe. EA has been ultimately shit since at least 2012.

I wanna say when they started branching out away from Sport games

When micro transactions started happening everywhere so around 2010.

Let us not limit this to only EA.

When you end up spending as much on DLC jsut to play part of the main story as you do the base game something is wrong.

Right after C&C Generals I believe.

Can't say for sure, but I noticed that their transformation into the literal worst publisher ever occurred around the same time they stopped calling themselves "Electronic Arts."

Kinda hard to call yourselves artists when you do the shit EA does.

imo, when they crushed Dawngate.

(Which reminds me, is it just me or is Zoe a lot like Zeri in concept?)

Hm.

Ultima and early C&C were good.

EA got the rights to SimCity in 1999, and the series hasn't been any good since then.

I would say about 1999-2000 was when EA started being shit. Let's say 2000, since that was when The Sims released (and was a huge success) and when EA finished their expansion and move. 2000 is also the section in their timeline when Wikipedia talks about how their strategy of releasing the same game every year did well for them, so I'm going to guess that was a direction change around 2000 as well.
