Remove the option to Report players

"Just mute and move on." Sound familiar? Probably because it's the A1 Troll excuse for being a troll. Number 1 troll being Riot Games.

Face it- if a player can't respond to another player's trash talk because "you have the option to mute negative players" then where's that logic when it comes to reporting?

If someone is trash-talking, you are supposed to just mute that player. If you trash-talk back and get banned- everyone will tell you, "you should have MUTED them." But if that really is the answer- then reports just shouldn't exist.

I mean, IF a player is actually offended enough to feel like a report needs to be made, then "you should have just muted them." Otherwise, reporting itself is just a way to troll players.

Because the meta of excuses is the option to mute (the mute excuse), then NOBODY has the right to be offended to begin with. If a player claims to be offended, despite the mute excuse, then that player is just abusing a system in order to troll other players.

Now you might be asking about extremely toxic players, and how reports are necessary to address these players. If a player is toxic enough to actually offend you then you'll be willing to take the time to submit a ticket. Fair enough? If you're not willing to take that time then your report isn't legitimate from the start.

You might also be asking about AFKs. This is a problem that could resolve itself- without your help. The game literally registers AFK players as AFK. And even if it didn't why report them at all? You people forget: THIS IS A GAME!!! Somebody has bad internet, and you want to ban their account because you died 5 minutes in. Get over yourself for real. You're Bronze because you're Bronze. If you were really serious about climbing the ELO tower you'd have a full pre-made team by now. So stop blaming your solo queue allies.

The real reason we should just eliminate the report option- it is the biggest goddam lie in this game. Reports do nothing to stop toxic behavior- because reports are the cancer. The community here is the same people talking shit to each other on Call of Duty- same shit talk you see here. The difference being nobody gets butthurt about it because there's no "run to mommy" set of rules against basic human behavior in other games.

The games I've been playing are just games of troll chess. Where two or more trolls compete in antagonizing each other to the point they warrant a report. This behavior is intentional and it is a direct result of the report system. However- Riot allows this nonsense to go on because "You have the option to mute players."

As long as Riot and the fanboy community use the mute excuse then the entire report system is a contradiction of policy. And as such, there should be no option to report players in-client.

Following 3 accounts that never got punished for hate speech terminology. Normally I wouldn't care, but I got banned for saying it once on a 6 year old account with no history of toxicity or prior punishments.

One of the account's names says "black people smell bad". That isn't the exact name of the account, "people" is abbreviated. Others have repeatedly insulted others by saying %%%got and %%%%%%. For some reason, they deserve better treatment than me? Some how, they deserve better treatment than someone who has followed the rules for 6 years and isn't trolling anyone or trying to piss anyone off. While they were constantly bashing teammates with insults all game. I just have ONE game where I respond and I get instantly banned. Then Riot Support doesn't look into the case at all, even in the name of consistency.

I REALLLY don't understand what they are doing. I thought they were against hate speech. Apparently they are only against it if I say a word ONCE in response. For this reason, I am nothing but angry. The ban did nothing but make me resent Riot and the community. I didn't learn anything. I didn't change my mind. I didn't change my behavior. I didn't change who I am. I was more on Riot's side back when I thought there was consistency. Since I have learned there isn't, I don't care if I give Rioters a bad day anymore. In fact, I earn a gold star every time I make them delete my comments or delete threads out of existence. I have a lot of gold stars from only pointing out inconsistencies in a calm manner. Doesn't take much to piss them off when you show them evidence that proves them wrong.

What about if someone is purposely inting in game? I agree with you on some points, you can get banned for saying something like "gg ez" because there are a lot of butthurt people in this community. I think the report option is important to weed out trolls but again hard to detect who is inting.

I just hope the community can suck up there feelings and stop crying over tiny comments.
