Karma needs changes yes (I really REALLY want her changed trust me), but there are much higher priority targets right now.
She's functioning fine right now and is honestly very strong (in the support role).
Hopefully we get an update about her balance after the enchanter/shielding update.
Too dependent on her Mantra to be useful as a champion and Mantra E specifically is too strong of a Mantra that will always push out other Mantras past the early phase of the game.
EDIT: Also Meddler said recently (Today? I think) that they're still planning (or "looking" rather) gameplay changes for her.
