Is it possible to be reported for playing, 2 top for example?

Please, hear me out before starting to comment. No, I probably will never do this or anything, as I see jungle or otherwise being very important, i'm just curious about it.

For example, your premade is top( Or you have a full premade team) and you have Jungle, you both decide that you want to duo top. Could this type of behaviour be bannable? I see the main argument being that it can disrupt the other lanes who may need help, but if you do occasionally go down and help them, then would it be considered alright?

Another question that ties into this, what about if you had a full team or 4 man team? Could the enemy team report you for this kind of behaviour? As far as i'm aware you cannot be banned for off-meta picks, which riot have stated themselves. Although i'm not sure if it would be classed as something else.

What are your thoughts on this?

Nope, if you are trying to win it will not be bannable, It might make people mad and it is not meta but its not bannable.

for your other question the answer is the same as the first answer.

Yes and no.

According to the rules, you won't be punished for playing off meta.

However, in cases such as counter jungling Singed and Nunu as support, those players did get punished because their teammates reported them enough. They didn't get punished for playing off meta, they got punished for not corporating with their team; who wanted them to play meta.

Nope, as long as you're on the same page it's fine.

100% an enemy player's report wouldn't be bannable. For all Riot cares, you can send five people mid. It would be ridiculous for an enemy player to report you and expect action against your account based on you using an atypical strategy.

As far as your own teammates, as long as you're doing your best to win the game, you're not at risk of punishments. There might be some grey area if you're doing it to spite your mid and bot, for example, but even that is a stretch.

I'm sure you're aware that there are all sorts of reasons why it's a poor strategy, of course.

If you're in a premade then I think it's acceptable.

If you're a duo jungle-top, it's questionable. May be bannable if your allies report you for it. Generally the threat of an unseen jungler is important and being permanently visible hurts that. Also not bringing smite hurts your team's objective control. Your 3 other allies did not volunteer to have this disadvantage, so it's reasonable for them to report you for causing it. It's also reasonable to expect you may be punished for it.

That being said, if you do take smite and start on a camp, generally take your buffs when they're up (or donate them to allies), and otherwise just play in the top Lane, there's not much people can say beyond you using a suboptimal jungle strategy of beyond-camping top. It would probably be better to repeatedly leave and come back (give the Lane opponent hope that you're gone so he extends and you can get kills) but I suppose if you just intend to shove waves in and harass under tower and take an early tower, it's your choice and I don't see how you could get banned for that.

The key difference in the last two paragraphs is that in the former you're completely neglecting to play a role that your team expects to have. In the latter you're playing that role, just suboptimally.
