Wait so everyone starts level 30 in new level system?

According to original post and a comment by RiotCactopus (sry if misspelled) everyone is starting at the same level in the new system? I thought Riot said veterans time played would be considered?

Look..... I was mad when mastery system was introduced and completely neglected to include any time played on the champ prior. I get it was a new system and made sense to do this so I ignored it.

I was mad the new honor system completely ignored prior honor and time spent playing. I still think it's dumb but I can forgive it.

I can forgive getting back a literal fraction of what I spent over the last 8-9 years in IP in runes when the new system comes out. Am I salty? Yea. But hell.... I haven't cared about runes or needed IP in awhile so its w/e.

But what I can't and won't forgive is if in the new leveling system every account starts at level 30. Like.... that is beyond a huge fuck you to the face to SOOO many players. Forget the literal THOUSANDS of dollars I and many have spent on your game. The amount of time alone would be incredible. Fuck man... Riot please say I am wrong in this. I saw something about emotes or something for veterans. Didn't really understand it but that would be cool if it's true. I also saw something about "exclusive" rewards for vets to spend extra IP on for limited time. But based on quick video the amount those items cost look insane and looked like just a couple of skins which honestly.... who cares. The last thing I need is one more skin for a champ I will hardly play.

I get giving us w/e level doesn't really matter in ours lives but fuck man. It would be nice to at least have some recognition for how long I and many others have played and supported this game. Even if at the end of the day all my profile said was "level 120 - bro get a life" I would still feel like some of my time spent playing was recognized. But if we all just start at 30 then fuck it I am done. Hell man... HoTs I know is trying to compete with you and other mobas so its probably more as to why they do it but Blizz has no problem showing some signs of players playing. Probably has to do with the fact they were smart enough to calculate champion levels from day 1 but I can log in that game and see level "300" or w/e. Yea... it ain't shit in reality because I haven't played it that much but at least I could differentiate myself from someone who just picked up the game. Imagine my level in Hots if it was based on my LoL time played. Holy shit... it would be in the thousands. And honestly... that would be cool as shit. So please Riot... please tell me your not going to fuck veterans completely over again. Please give back to your most loyal players. We're not asking for a lot... just some recognition.

Yeah I don't think people get why old players like you and I are mad at this. I could care less about the actual chests you get for leveling up, sure it would be nice to get a windfall but whatever. What I'm really mad about is the fact that I've played over 7,000 games of League, honestly probably closer to 8k when you take into account special game modes, Dominion before it was removed and ARAM. The emote they say they are going to give out for 2k games isn't going to cut it, not even close. When Smite and HotS added their infinite leveling systems they retroactively gave out all the XP people would've gotten had that system has been in place since the beginning, but Riot is just like "nah bro, you and someone who started playing 3 months ago are the same level." It's just like mastery all over again, I'd probably be 5 on nearly every character had they retroactively given XP out for that.

First of all, Take into account that when riot made the game, They intended the cap to stay at 30, Which is why you'll see that they didn't account for the XP of the other games past level 30, Which is why everyone will start at level 30, Because they didn't keep track of a stat they didn't think they'd need to keep track of after reaching the cap

Second off, Lets be honest, Is this gonna make you stop? Is this one problem Really Gonna bring you over the edge and quit league? Because lets be honest, The only handful of people who'll quit after this change, Is probably the people who're gonna quit because of the new Rune system.

Yeah everyone starts from 30 if you were 30. Probably would be a lot of work to try to go back and figure out how much experience you would've earned and then you'd just get a massive influx on BE probably. The only purpose of levels is to replace IP gains with level up rewards.
