I had a bit of fun making this, but if you just want the TLDR to see the team and last member possibles, it is at the bottom with a clear marking.

I came up with a post a while back with an idea for a new Star Guardian team (for some reason it isn’t showing it to me) but I thought I would post an updated team that I think would be a bit better. This is a bit of fun and maybe we will get another set of star guardians, but I don’t know. I am just proposing a team. There were a few that seemed to fit well in the last spot, so i am curious which one you think would be better.

First, about the team in general. The teams so far have felt, for the most part, very “magical” before becoming star guardians. I would even argue that Poppy could be grouped into that as well with her aoe field, passive, and ult. While There is nothing wrong with this, it gives an opportunity to put out a team that feels very different. The focus here is idea in general behind this team is to have one the feels, for lack of a better term, physical. (Ex: Blades instead of beams of light pre Star Guardian)

This team has been chosen because of their accomplishments, and the sheer grit and determination they possess to never give up. They are singled out to become something so much more with the gift of the Star Guardian to become saviors.

Team Leader: Caitlyn

Team Members: Caitlyn, Vi, Katarina, Riven

Possible 5th Member: Nidalee, Sivir, Camille, Fiora

Caitlyn - The tactical mind behind this team, able to analyze a situation and come up with a plan to deal with it on the spot. As the team leader she has more responsibility and feels she must work harder than everyone else, and keeps files on everything they work on, much to the annoyance of her girlfriend. Vi occasionally has to help her remember how to have fun.

Vi - Truly inseparable from Caitlyn since the moment they met. Vi used to be bottom of the class, skip all the time, and was forced to change schools many times until she landed in the right one with Caitlyn. Love at first sight and wanting her attention more than anything Vi worked as hard as she could to overcome her past mistakes to stay by her girlfriends side. Vi is quick to act and hot headed, willing to do anything to protect Caitlyn.

Katarina - Born into a rich and cold family, Katarina has always been filled with a need to prove herself. This drive has led her to training herself all of her life that none may accuse her of riding on her family’s success instead of her own. Katarina, now boastful of her accolades, began to feel something missing when she met Lux, seeing so many friends and family around her that truly care about her. Becoming a Star Guardian means Katarina can be apart of that, even if she wants to rip off Ezreals head anytime he even thinks about getting near Lux.

Riven - Riven grew up in an orphanage after a terrible fire consumed her home and her parents. Living in this environment, she had to fight for everything that was hers. She learned her skills out of necessity to earn her right to attend public school instead of being sent off to manual labor. After meeting a self proclaimed detective, Riven wants to enlist her help to determine the cause of her family’s tragedy, but instead is called upon for the greater good to become a Star Guardian.

These are all very rough and not too thoroughly developed, I am sure I would have these changed and expanded.

All right, that just leaves the possibles (these will not have as much, just potential qualifiers/disqualifiers)

Camille - Camille seems to be very physical in threat, but feels too much like she would be a teacher and does not quite feel right as a Star Guardian imo. She does fit the motif, so i have her listed here.

Fiora - Fiora definitely would have the desired feel, but she might be the Headmistress of the school. I would love to see a Star Guardian Fiora, but we do have the amazing Headmistress Fiora.

Nidalee - She feels like a very good fit, relying on not only her spear but also her claws and physical prowess. She does transform which is magical, but the way she fights feels very much in the same motif and I feel she is the best here. Yes Super Galaxy skin exists, but that is Super Hero, not Magical Girl. These are entirely different.

Sivir - She does have the spell shield but feels the right way regardless. Not too much to say, other than the runner up to Nidalee imo.

Possible 5th: Camille, Fiora, Nidalee, Sivir

Side Note: Caitlin x Vi shipped sailed a long time ago and really should be canon if it isn’t yet, Katarina x Lux is the OTP, there is no other ship for either of them
