I have seen people talking about buying champion shards in the store to convert IP into blue essence. I have 140K IP right now. Would i end up with more blue essence after the 6.5 multiplier riot has already decided to go with or should i just leave my 140K IP and wait.
Yes you should.
I bought 5 champ shards for 1700 ip each to make the test. disenchanting the shards + the blue essence that you sometimes get when using the token give around 1850 blue essence (when you calculate the amount x6.5) it's not a big bonus, but 150 profit on average is quite decent.
It might give you enough to get another Gemstone or Urfwick.
If you have small IP, then no. Why bother. If you have lots of IP. Only if you want to go to the BE store. It will take awhile though.

FYI if you are going to do this and have a lot of tokens like i did (82) put the client in low spec mode. it made the process SO much faster.
i had an 11.8% increase.
Wait - blue essence is getting x6.5 now? ? I thought it was only x5?? I did the math earlier on x5 and figured I'd lose essence by converting, but at 6.5 it sounds like it's an expected gain?
