UPDATE: Account Transfer Service Back Online

UPDATE, 5:54 p.m. PST: Well, looks like we jumped the gun here. Unfortunately, as the service came back up we ran into a lingering error within the store that causes transfers to fail, which will take the weekend and possibly a little longer to fix. Transfers should be up and running as soon as possible, and once I get a more concrete timeline I'll let you know. Thanks for enduring this twisting, magical journey with us, folks. Apologies again for how messy it's been.

Hey everyone, wanted to provide an update to this thread.

As of today, the account transfer service is back online and available again through the store. Also:

  • If you've wanted to transfer your account in the past few months that the service was down, but were unable to because of this issue, hit up Player Support with a ticket explaining your situation and we'll set you up with a free transfer.

  • If you had already reached out to Support about transferring your account while the service was down, we've already got your info and should be reaching out about a free transfer as soon as we can.

Over the next week or two we'll be monitoring the stability of the transfer service, and I'll update this post and thread if needed.

rly disapointed with riot support with this one :/ was w8 for over month to transfer acc and play with my friends, was hoping there will be some discount, probably max 50% since this issue lasted 3 months i believe, wow they promised free transfer only to reject my ticket when obviously they should let me free transfer according to Riot employe post in this thread, slow responds from support, just rly disapointed. You dont promise free transfer and refuse this for no reason... im atm not playing league while waiting for responds from riot support when i just wanted to transfer, buy new mission pass/coven camille and play...

How long does it take for them to reply tho, I put a ticket in 2-3 days ago and they've changed the status of the ticket several times without a reply.

Lol I tried messaging them on my LAN account to get it back into NA, and they replied saying that there was an ad going around offering free transfers and that it wasn't true. Thanks Riot.

Tried it, and now I cannot log in to either old or new region.... and been stuck in waiting for someone to answer chat for like 30 mins now.

This game is becoming a joke more and more by the days that past. Horrible loading screen. Then, people bust their butt off in ranked last season to get the border they want. Then they have dynamic borders now for this season to reflect what you have doing ranked this year? That’s a huge slap in the face to the community. Then also the Pointless Q nerf on Akali by the new balance guy lmao.

How longer will it take for them to set us up the free transfer? I have waited over 2 months to transfer my account and play with my friends. Now they have fixed the server and I still have to wait longer? I have RP in my account waiting for the transfer few months ago. Should I make the transfer with my RP or should I wait them?summoner 3

I have just made a request for the free transfer, explaining my situation, but the support guy said that they do not provide any free account transfer though..

Almost 3 weeks have now passed and no free transfers were given out.

What are we waiting for? Last year we at least got a discount, this year we just got fake and empty promises.

I just wrote a ticket, will they be able to transfer manually for us or will we have to wait till the account transfers are back up in store? I tried transferring but it just loaded for a long time and then it disappeared. Thank you [sg-soraka]

Well obviously It's not that good. Basically, except you tried to transfer with RP and failed or If you send a ticket BEFORE they came back up, you are not eligible for a free transfer. This sucks for people like me when they wanted to transfer during holidays, could not transfer (Even fail a transfer) because the transfers were gone by the time, waited a couple of months, and reached the support now or in the past couple days. We don't even get a discount, so we have to pay a full priced transfer. I hope I eased some minds on the matter. Wish I brought good news.

its actually comically at this point that a multi-billion dollar company cant get something right after the same thing has happened over three times. Stop wasting funds on pyjama skins and get some proper coders to fix your shit
