It doesn't help Riot slowly made all of his starter abilities besides his Q horrid to start and max first and make BC, his bread and butter first item since their existences met one another, utterly rubbish to build on him in comparison to TriForce (which is all the better since he's maxing Q first)

No. And I played juggernauts. Morde has always been the crappiest juggernaut, followed by weird hybrids who were in the juggernaut line up but couldn't really do their other jobs well either. Skarner? Voli? Even some incarnations of Nasus-- I miss my pre-update Herald solo jungle build.
