Like those medicine ads that have death as a side effect lol that clearly means I shouldn't touch that product with a ten foot pole.

The reason they have to add "death" as a side effect is for legal reasons.

That aside, literally everything has death as a side effect. Driving in a car has the side effect of death. Walking down the street can cause death. Eating a food at a restaurant that you didn't know you were allergic to can kill you. They have to cite "death" as a side effect in case something goes wrong, but that doesn't mean it's going to kill you.

Ya, I always ask myself, "if you have to list Death as a side effect, do you really want to advertise by TV instead of other means?" It just seems silly that something with the side effect of death can be legally marketed in the first place. I think its becase if a person gets in a car accident and dies, they have to list it as a side effect, but still.

I like how the side effects are worse than the symptoms sometimes

What medicines get listed on tv? America is weird.

Some things are worse than a small risk of death.

Still, it's mostly included because of legal reasons. The actual risk you will die is incredibly small and would most likely result from an unforeseen reaction with a medication that isn't prescribed very much. You might also have a rare disease that would kill you in combination with certain drugs. It's kind of impossible to test for everything.

That's because even if no one died in the clinicals, they're covering their ass in case one in a million has an adverse reaction to the meds or an untested combination.
