Honestly? I think the season 7 changes that sped the game up so much were just what the doctor ordered. The game is so much faster. I love the fact games end at 2-3 items. God save me from season 4-5 snorefests. "Ok, we're in the lead and it's 20-30 minutes. Time to not fuck up and slowly chip away at them for another 10-20 minutes because towers are so OP and late game is so important."

Are there things that I miss from previous seasons? Of course. I really miss DFG+void staff+oracle and camping the jungle with LeBlanc to delete some noobs. I miss cheasy pre-rework Ashe support with Zeke's Herald. Or AP Tristana. The list can go on and on, but as far as the meta and balance goes right now? I can't complain. Things are great.

Very wrong.

Baron ending games is a good thing.

Most other changes are pretty bad.

I like that you can't stall indefinitely with anivia and ziggs and Viktor anymore, but now they have no place in the game at all lmao

Game balance and play is slightly better than 4-7 seasons, more so for normal modes. But match quality in ranked is horrendous due to insisting on the pleasuring of the coomer chemical esport larp edgemainers / OTP copycats / having the most toxic of players control people's honor standing / slitting jungler's throats for any criticism during the game if they make a peep.

Which of 2 are good balance: Herald destroying 2 towers in 2 seconds or you being destroyed in 1 second by elder dragon buff? I know it might sound weird to you but the game was designed in a way that scaling champions are viable and even If damage is high, games don't end too fast. That worked for at least 6 years (I played since S2 So it's maybe more) so of course people are sad and tilted when League nowdays is totally different game than it used to be. It's a fact, the game now functions differently from it's original design and it simply doesn't work. It's hard to explain to a casual but I hope you get the point. I can elaborate on anything you want.
