Being friends has nothing to do with moderation as I can't be biased towards people I like or dislike. I gotta look at the thread or post, not the name, when I decide if it breaks a rule or not. Your thread was political in nature, not social, since it discussed US tax dollars and the government's decisions which is pretty much as political as you can get. It doesn't need an opinion to be discussion of politics or inciting opinions about politics for posting. That thread is a good example of one that was already getting posts about other political topics and opinions on it right off the bat.

Like I said though, if you have concerns, you can ask on Discord or Discuss the Boards. I will personally be off for a while since I'm visiting my family, but there are others that can help ya =)
