STAR GUARDIAN THEORY TIME

Syndra's been killing Star Guardians to fuel her lust for power!!

Let me explain...

As we know, both Syndra and Janna are older Star Guardians, who were both a part of different teams before joining their respictive current teams. In the Star Guardian short story, Janna was incredibly angry to see Syndra, implying that the two know each other. Knowing that and that two of them are both originally from different teams, it wouldn't be unlikely to say that they were both part of the same team, before whatever tragedy that caused them to split happened. Now, though Janna never outright says what happened to her original Star Guardian team, given her distant sorrowful disposotion and the fact that she's consatnly lost in thought of memroies, it can safely be assumed they died, but Syndra's appearance puts a questtion mark to that theory.

Another thing, thought it might just be said poetically, and might mean nothing at all, Star Guardian Janna's quote is, "A Guardian may die, but their spirit never fades." Keep this in mind.

What if the reason for Janna's distantness, and anger towards Syndra is because Syndra killed off the other Star Guardians that were a part of their team back when the two were on the same team, Janna only somehow miraculously surviving and/or escaping. As we know about Syndra, she has a thirst for power, and seemingly nothing will stop it. What if, some how, she found a way to steal power from other Star Guardians through killing them. We also know that Mulit is a manifestation of her power, and unlike other Star Guardians, Syndra has multiple "magical mediums" and that despite being blessed by a being called the "First Star" Syndra wields dark magic, which is the opposite of light. FYI, there are a lot of what ifs, because most of this is assumption, guessing, and implying. Anyways, what if, she wields dark magic because she has been corrupted by killing other Star Guardians, and now, remember Janna's quote, her Multi is actually the corrupted spirits of dead Star Guardians.

Going even further with this theory, we know Ahri has deep trust in Syndra's advice, and that Syndra gives her some form of counsel. If my theory is true, it can be assumed that Syndra is only buttering up Ahri's team before she sinks her teeth into their power, killing them all in the process. She might not be able to outright kill them, but at the very least, knows how to, and is leading them there. Now, some of you may say, "If this is true, why doesn't Janna warn everybody?" That is a good point, but, my guess is that Janna doesn't entirely know what's going on with Syndra, only that Syndra is somehow responsible for the deaths of her former team.

I don't know what Syndra's end goal is aside from power, but if any one part of my Theory is true, this spins a much darker light on Syndra then I could have ever guessed. One final bit, Syndra and Janna being on the same at one point is a necessary part for this theory to be true, but just a little extra. Syndra may as well have just stumbled across Janna's team and killed them all.

I don't know about this theory. I think Syndra is just supposed to be the misunderstood, tsundere trope that everyone hates but only the lead girl sees good in. I don't think she's evil, I think she's just misunderstood and cranky.

Syndra killed Ahri's original star guardian team and somehow conned her way into Ahri's new team and is working to kill them all.
