Aery or Comet?

Over time, which does more damage? Assuming you proc both regularly on their cooldowns. I usually just use Comet in ARAM to hit multiple targets and Aery in Summoner Rift [leblanc-funny]

I take comet when I play a mage that can make sure it lands with there built in slow or cc of some sort but for most other mages i like aery
Aery for consisten poke, comet for burstier pokes as it works great as an execute tool when your spells deal 99% of target's HP. A question tho, does coup de grace increase comet's damage?
Assuming at least a 40% hitrate for comet, it's always going to be in favor of comet, unless you're right next to them.
Comet has a reset mechanic and hits for significantly more damage (twice as much scaling, three times as much on base). Aery is just more reliable if you don't have some kind of CC.
