Just an FYI why I am out @Riot

As someone who has played this game for 8+ and spent an absurd amount of time on and money on your game I just wanted to let you know I quit and here's why. I know Riot probably ignores these posts so instead of writing a 3000 word essay I will keep and short and just say this.

I have disliked many champs and metas in the past years. It is true the game has never been perfect, but underneath the bullshit there was always that core game play that was fun. But... I no longer feel that with league. I mean it when I say I actually hate the game since the start of season 8. This hate I have actually never felt for the game before.

The biggest reason I dislike the game these days is the damage. I feel like damage right now rewards poor play and punishes more calculated game play. I feel like this is a direct conflict in how the game used to be. I also hate that you have continued to kill the 1v9 aspect of League that made the game unique and made it a heroes of the storm 5v5 all the time fiesta.

So.... I am not really sure what else to say. The game is just really not fun... at least for a vet like me. Not sure why I am supposed to have fun grinding through ranks I have grind through many times with really unevenly matched teams. O GOD I would love to go into match making but might have a stroke. Like... its never been good but.... holy fuck don't think I have actually seen it this bad before.

Good luck Riot. Maybe you will learn your ways and bring the game back to it's former self. Or maybe this is always how the game will be. Which if so, maybe other new players enjoy it. But I know myself and most my friends hate it and won't be back. But honestly at this point in my life, that probably a good thing. So thank you I guess? lol. Never though I would see the day that Riot would actually make League so not fun I would quit playing it. But life is strange sometimes.

Good luck on your future endeavors. I will admit I will still watch LCS as pumped about MSI coming up and franchising has seemed to pay off. But as far as spending money on this game that's a no go for me.

Totaly agree with you, skill has slowly been removed for more damage. so even bad players can win because they just spam abilatys and still win. I too am gettimg bored of it

There are plenty of pain points that get to me overtime.

Afkers, one sided games due to poor match making, Low opportunity cost spam ganking + weak towers = overly disrupted laning phase, the fact that my teammates can troll ban my highlighted pick in champ select, having to hold my tongue and quietly report trolls all the time because I care about my account. This Diesis guy above who's trying to bully OP over his rank...

You aren't alone with your opinion.

  • total damage went up too damn high while towers remained the old shitty weak towers.
  • If i remember right Riot somewhat said back in the past they wanted to remove spells or abilities that make you get killed in 0,10 seconds, because you are unable to react to stuff like that. Well, it's even worse now. You get bursted from 100 to 0 from dozens of champs. With 2-3 items. lol.
  • Every rework or new champ gets more and more mobile while "the old ones" stay immobile and shit. I mean. Just look at the new Irelia e.g.
  • Community in a nutshell. Nearly every single game you can choose between: Toxicity, AFK'ing, Inting. And smart people won't even get punished for that.
  • You get way too less feedback of a punished player somehow.
  • Support is a real joke (the german support at least. Dunno about the english one)
  • Match Making is still very unbalanced sometimes(!!) . .. ... .... ..... And so on.
