Went 7-3 and placed bronze 4

I placed bronze 1 last ranked season which is not that good (I don't play very often). In placements I went 7-3 and somehow I got placed into bronze 4. How is this fair? Now I need to climb forever just to get out of bronze. BTW for the placements when I reached level 30 I went 3-5 and placed bronze 2. How does this work? How are players supposed to climb? Also I know about the soft reset, but this is not soft. My friend also placed bronze 1 last season and this season he went 6-4 and he is bronze 2. With 7-3 I was hoping to place bronze 2 so I could get back into silver easier. Now if I lose 2 games I demote to iron, which will completely discourage me from playing anymore.

Dude you're always gonna end placements lower than you ended the season, that's just how it works out. You're in the same boat as everyone else, just get climbing.

I would say getting Bronze 4 after finishing bronze 1 is pretty soft. Some people finished plat last season, and got out provisionals in bronze/silver. Consider yourself lucky

Your placements isnt based on your previous rank. its based on MMR, which has altogether been moved down. Since your MMR should be around bronze 1, it will be relatively easy for you to climb back up.
