Does anyone here think hearthstone is a bad game?

I'v been hearthstone since GvG and honestly I play it cause its fun but I think that its a joke of an Esport and find it hard to play competitively.

Constructed is pay to compete and unbalanced. You have to play 1 of 5 decks if you ever want to play competitively. I can understand they have to make money but its honestly too expensive of a game.

Discover cards are rigged, where something are more likely to appear than others which I find makes the game require far less skill. So much RNG in everything, evolve shaman, most mage discover spells, summon a random minion etc.

These are just a few of things. Again I really enjoy playing the game, I hit atleast rank 5 every season. But im starting to find the game really repetitive with chances for creativity. either net deck or lose.

Any way I just want to hear everyone opinions. [slayer-jinx-catface]

I don't think the game is bad, but I think the game's meta is bad right now. They decided to nerf a bunch of classic cards which I'm convinced is one of the dumbest things the design team has ever done.

Believe it or not I enjoyed MSoG a lot haha. And I didn't use any of the meta decks either! Playing against them was really fun imho. Watching Priest draw Anduin and Raza, however...

It's pay to win.

I means thats legitimately every tcg ever. Why would a video game version be different

Everyone who actually knows how to play TCGs knows Hearthstone is a bad game.

I hate priest so much in this meta

I only play Hearthstone for Tavern Brawl. Constructed is a crock and arena is hard mode for me.

I can't get into Hearthstone because of the art and stage look but I'm definitely into Shadowverse because the art is superb.

the problem lies with some cards just being direct upgrades compared to other ones, you cant even think about getting to legend without spending money

Any game that is pay to win is bad

I don't hate it persay but I don't think it is good, I play free to play and it is such a slog to get anything and every time I get fucked over by rng, I'm constantly reminded of how much better mtg is or something.

Truth be told, once MTG arena come with out, I'm never playing hearthstone again unless there are some very heavy changes to remove the rng factor or at least make it less cancer

I couldn't even get into it cause the new player experience was just so horrendous. Building up an actual deck was a huge grind made worse by matchmaking constantly throw me against people with complete decks. Some matches were just automatic losses because of how much of a disadvantage I was at. Quest mage? Oh guess I'll just concede cause I have literally zero way to prevent their win condition.

It WAS amazing. They ruined it.

I'm playing the Pokemon TCG Online now. Infinitely healthier of a game.

The Meta diversity isn't nearly as bad as 5 decks. Sure, its not Yugioh where there's a billion different viable rogue decks running around, but HS doesn't have Yugioh's card pool either. Every class has at least one viable archetype and some have several.

I do have to agree though about the level of RNG in the game, and how pay to win it can be. They've only made these things worse this year with their changes to the business model (more regular sets, no adventures) and the content of the sets (quests/heroes)

I'm still having fun with the game. Currently playing a Dragon Priest variant with extra emphasis on Divine Spirit/Inner Fire combos.

I mean, one of the most influential cards of all time was literally a 100% RNG card that could win or lose the game on its own. How is that a fun or competitive game.

Mcsquzzy10/21/2017, 2:13:39 PM1 votes

Its only bad for poor people who want to be competitive or play against humans

In all seriousness you just can't keep up with player who pay in that game unless your fewer card packs are all god rolls

TCG/CCG are in general terrible because of all the RNG, at least poker has a little skill to it as you can bluff everything. 0/10 game

Arduno10/21/2017, 6:42:41 PM1 votes

they abused RNG to a hole new level.. mehehehehehehehe

Stars Shaper10/20/2017, 9:46:26 PM1 votes

At the highest levels is all about RNG in its draw and mind games.

I think it's enough to have some sort of e-sport flavor.
