Why dont we get "free wins" (In promo), from Platinum IV, upwards? I dont get it.

Say what you want, but I dont really find a solid "argument", as to why you dont get "Free wins"... (When you lose promo,and climb back to that promo again, or when you Demote, and get to the Promo to that Division again).

Would help a bit with Platinum (Oficially the ELO with the highest amount of people, who think are already Challenger), and Diamond (LP gains are broken, from what I've read), IMHO.

It's supposed to be a challenge. If you truly possess the skills to climb up then I'm sure you eventually will be up there. But your rank is supposed to show how you've beaten challenges thrown at you; how well you've worked with each of your teams you've been with so far; how effective your ways, strategies have been---how you've mastered the game. Those who aren't suitable to be Platinum will be eventually demoted (those who lose more LP than they gain per win is for a reason) and those who truly are Plat should have no problem climbing up or at least retaining their position.

To add to that friendless boy's post.... you also should understand that it is at Platnium that rank decays as well. You have to start doing ranked more often, you cant just sit on it for a year. Its like saying "The training wheels are coming off."

Also...... obviously you havent seen some of these Bronze and Irons if you think plat is bad with how much they think they are challenger.

Even though it's supposed to be a challenge, Riot acts as though all the other ranks weren't a challenge for people at the time, people in challenger could also look at plat like plats look at bronze and silver, the point is when someone can repeatedly get to promos without dropping a game then you get the paste eaters from a planet outside of the milky way galaxy versus people that are like plat 2 and you're all plat 5, how is that even working properly? Riot knows their system is absolute trash when it comes to promos and gives the free win in other ranks because of this, it doesn't suddenly work better in plat, if they're really not able to stick it out one rank above, they'll drop back down, but inversely if they're dropping, winning, getting their free win, getting to p4 or 3 then dropping then getting back, they're still hovering over their average rank and no harm is done, the extra games in promos have always just added to frustration and have never actually served a solid purpose that much more than the player base that doesn't care about them could stand behind.
