My thoughts on how to improve/fix this game for the upcoming season

As we all know the game itself isn't in the best position at the moment. A lot of high elo and pro players are complaining about the state of the game how it's really bad and probably the worst it has been so far. Many things are affecting the current state of the game and nothing is being done to fix it. It's probably because Riot doesn't really care and it just waiting for season 10 and more focused is being put in TFT then League itself. By talking to some pros and high elo players, hearing their opinions and having mine, I made this post to point out what could be done do fix the game. I am not expecting you to fix it now but hopefully season 10.

**The first thing I want to talk about is matchmaking. ** Matchmaking is just terrible, not only in High elo but I noticed some problems in lower elo too. In higher elo games queue times tend to be shorter which results in less competitive games. Challenger players would be matched with low Master tier – Diamond players which just doesn't make any sense. Sometimes balance in these games is just not logical. If the enemy team has, for example, a Challenger player with 1000 LP the system itself will give him 4 Master tier players where in the enemy team there are 5 Challenger players. I think to fix this problem You guys need to make queue times longer but more rewarding. I don't think anyone minds to wait extra 5-10 minutes for a more balanced game because now some games are decided even before they start. Now in low elo games matchmaking is sometimes weird? I have been smurfing a lot lately just because I wanted to check what's the situation in low elo and I noticed some major problems. When it comes to matchmaking sometimes I get players with <50% winrate in my team while the enemy team has players with >50% winrate. It just doesn't make sense to me how is this possible. A simple way to fix this is just by putting players with similar winrates against each other. And overall when it comes to matchmaking just make in each team same number of auto-filled players!

**The second thing is Lobby in champion select. ** There are a few things that I would like to be fixed or improved. I think giving 30s someone to pick his champ is just way too long and unnecessary. I think 20s is just enough. In this way, we can save a lot of time and get quicker into the games. I would like to have an option where you get informed if someone is picking champion where he is inexperienced on it (some kind of message like ''Your third pick is not mastery level 5 yet or is the first time that champion''). This can help me plan the game and which lanes should I focus more. On the other hand the player that's picking a first time champion or a champion he is not mastery 5 yet should get similar warning where he gets message like: ''You are not Mastery 5 on this champion yet or you are first time on this champ“ and he has to check the square if he is sure to pick it or not. You can put the minimap in Lobby where players can plan invades (ping where they are going to be). This will stop some players going AFK when the game starts and putting their team in trouble if the enemy team invades because it's always 4v5 or 3v5 etc.

**The third thing is about report system, ban system, etc. ** I think the system itself can be improved A LOT. Countless times I had someone in my game trolling but not receiving any sort of punishment for that specific game. I know you can report them after the game and he ''will'' get what he deserves but the reality is it's not how it is. The easiest way to get a ban is if you are being toxic in chat which personally to me is just funny. I know being toxic can hurt some people but why is mute button invested then? If I think someone is harassing me I can just mute him and play the game. I don't think anyone cares about toxicity in-game because you can always mute them. It's ironic how will someone who is flaming an inter get banned and not the inter itself. Because your punishing system is mostly focused on toxicity in chat and not on things that are more serious like inting, wintrading, etc. I am not saying that toxicity shouldn't be punishable. My point is that there should be put more focus on other aspects of suspensions such as inting, witnrading, etc. My idea is this: If a player is intentionally trolling, inting or being toxic and if he gets 4 reports from his team for certain section like intentionally feeding, negative behaviour, etc. he gets punished or rather banned for that specific game. Let me explain: If you have Nunu who is running it down and intentionally trolling and if he gets 4 reports for INTENTIONALLY FEEDING he gets a 3-day ban. On the other hand for example if he was toxic and he got 4 reports for VERBAL HARASSMENT he gets 7 days chat restriction. My point is that currently players won't get any sort of punishment for one specific game because that's not how the current system works. In this way players will be "afraid" to troll or to do any kind of negative behaviour because they can get punished for that game. I know there is a possibility that this system can be abused but realistically speaking there is a small chance that all of the 4 players will intentionally punish someone if he didn't deserve it.

**The fourth thing is transfers. ** As you know 90% of EUW Pros and Challenger players are bragging about TR/EUNE/RU transfers. You need to realize there is a difference in skill in each region. I think to fix this just make when someone who transfers the account to other server loses MMR on it for that server he transferred to.

The fifth thing is the client. The client has been full of bugs since when it came out. So many bugs especially in champion select. Sometimes it doesn't let me ban, pick a champion or the most frequent thing save my rune page. Just fix the client, I think it's about time to do it.

And the last thing is ranked rewards. Currently ranked rewards are just funny. People are not tryharding because they are not getting rewarded for doing so. Getting skin? What a joke. Just invest better rewards especially for top tier players. Giving people backpacks or jackets is just pathetic for a multi billionaire company like you. If you give good rewards soloQ experience would be on a whole different level.


The point of this post is to discuss and let me know what you think about this. I think we need to make some moves and express our ideas about the game because we are the one who are playing it - and just hope Riot will hear us.
