Being punished for not wanting to lose
So I will start off saying that I am a gold 2 no body. But I do know when there are just games that are just insta-loses, even before the game starts. Sometimes I believe you should just bite the bullet and say, I'll take a 5 minute break so I don't lose LP. Good for you! You made a calm decision to keep climbing the ladder. For example I have been playing a top laner in the mid lane lately and not only been enjoying it but also had almost a 70% winrate with that champ. I just so happened to see a fiddle to be selected top lane with ignite, so I grow a little concerned. So what does any reasonable person do? I hit that "x" in the top right corner of the rectangular box on my screen. I figured "Wow, that was a close one. I just had a bot lane go 4/23 in my last game, at least I don't have to go through that again." I log back in and even manage to invite some friends in to wait out the 5 minutes to play together. What I see next both sicked me, and left me speechless. To my shock and horror I have a 30 minute wait timer staring back at me. Glaring at me. Intimidating me. Taunting me. "Looks like you still have to wait the amount of time for that game anyway." I hear a voice say in my head. "Looks like trying to do your best doesn't count for anything at all."
Now obviously I am satirical in what I write here because this is simply a game and really it should be no big deal as to whatever happens here. But I mean, Riot. Honey. This just ain't right. Can you really tell me that it would have been better for me to play that game with a Fiddle with ignite in the top lane? Do you think a high elo/pro player would say that is good too? Please fix this.
