I've been a Sona main since I started playing two years ago, and will continue to play almost solely Sona in the future, and I'm honestly so sick of being shamed and getting grief for playing my favorite champion that just so happens to be meta. I don't play Lulu, I don't play Karma, I never want to play Janna, Sona is the only enchanter, hell, only support that I play, I just find her incredibly fun. Yet people treat you like the scum of the earth because they happen to be strong.

At this point honestly I wish Riot would just hard nerf Coin and Censer so I could just play my favorite champion in peace.

I play Graves and Jhin quite often.

Earlier this year they were top of the meta.

Didn't matter that I played them before they were top-tier, must be abusing the meta.

Sona's win rate is like 53% right now though. If people have an issue with you playing her they're just being dumb.

But yeah even if no changes to the game happen meta shifts, Anivia wasn't nerfed for years and randomly became meta several seasons ago so this shit happens sometimes. I always recommend being fresh on at least 3 champs per role, assuming your team isn't dickish you'll always have the risk of the enemy team either banning or picking that specific champ you play. It also gives you a potential diversity of playstyles depending on your choices.
