If i get the "You are being shielded from demotion but have lost too many games to maintain current rank" can i just not play ranked and keep my rank?
Im silver 5 right now, and going to bronze wouldn't be really nice. (Also i didn't climb to silver simply got placed, if it has any matter to this)
In silver, yes, you can just not play ranked again and your rank will not change.
Decay only occurs at platinum or higher. If you're gold or below, your rank will never change without you playing games.
Cant decay.
If you do happen to lose another game, You could possibly get demoted to bronze tho.

You cant decay into bronze
You can stop playing and stay in silver for the rest of the season.
Next season is a different story.
