So, how do you deal with "first time new champ" in ranked?

If u're been playing this game for at least more than 1 year, it sure as hell happened to you at least once to get that one guy with the special brain that decided to test the new champion released 2 hours before in ur ranked. Now, how do you deal with those people? U ban the champion risking that the troll actually trolls? U dodge? U don't play ranked for 2 weeks waiting for people to actually understand what that champion does?

Honestly, dodge.

I'd take -3LP and a few minutes of my time over -14.

I ban new champions in ranked.

If you're a dumbass and willing to pick a new champ in ranked, I don't give a single flying fuck if you played him on the PBE, I'm banning it. Period.

Step 1: Accept it doesn't happen near as often as the boards claims it does. Step 2: Don't aggravate them. Gently try to get them to pick someone else, but don't ban their pick. Them doing poorly is better than them potentially inting. Step 3: Mitigate losses. If you get them fed enough, it doesn't really matter whether or not they're bad at the champion. You can also get the other 4 people ahead enough that it doesn't matter.

Also, If it's a new champion, the opponent probably doesn't know how to fight them yet, which helps a lot.
