I guarantee you, you'll feel better. I'm sure there are quite a few people here who do not exercise. Well, you should start. This is a reminder. The first thing you should remember about cardio is, you'll always feel better and have more energy AFTER you're done. So having the excuse, "I'm too tired to do cardio." Is just illogical. You do cardio to get energy. It feels so good when you're done. Not only do you emotionally feel better, but you'll think more clearly as well. Your blood gets moving and it pumps through your entire body it's great. It'll also make you live longer.

For me, I started by running around on this circle in the woods. There was a mile turn around near where I lived. There were no houses, and maybe 3 small warehouses/office buildings with a huge storage lot for cars. No one would drive up there and the air was super clean. That's the absolute best. Your lungs are going to get tired out, every muscle gets a work out, and it just feels awesome. Don't be discouraged, at first you might only be able to go a quarter mile, but keep at it and you'll rapidly get better.

If you're overweight, you'll want to do something like a bicycle/bicycle machine or elliptical. Running when you're obese or overweight is going to hurt your joints and you could do some serious damage to them.

You sure about that? Because whenever I finish exercising, the only thing going through my mind is how much of a waste of time it was and how I'd rather be at home doing nothing. Exercising has never made me feel better, it's made me feel tired, sweaty, sore, and generally like shit. All that stuff about it improving your mood is bs.

I have debated starting to do cardio but it always comes back to the same thing. I would have to do it before work because I'm usually cramping already just from work when going home. There is also the issue of climate. Running in the winter is terrible for your lungs because the airway literally freezes. This means I would have to get a gym membership. The biggest thing keeping me from doing cardio though is the question of do I really need to do it when my job requires me to be lifting things over 300 lbs, I am constantly walking around and sometimes through thick mud which can put about 50 lbs on my feet at times, and I'm always doing body weight squats getting up and down to work at floor level. Having this job makes me wonder if I would ever actually get the recovery period needed for healthy growth.

I'm an ex-smoker and the first time I ran I literally ran a quarter mile and coughed my ass off. I coughed for like 10-15 minutes straight. I hadn't smoked for years, but my lungs just weren't ready for what I was doing I guess. I don't really know. The next day I went a half mile and didn't cough. Then I did a mile, and I stuck to a mile for a while, just trying to beat my time every day. Then two miles, then eventually 5k. It probably took at least 2 months of running every day before I got there and I was slow as fuck. I still am pretty slow, but it feels so good for my body and mind when I'm done. I don't care how slow I am.

From seeing the thumbnail at first I thought the person in the picture was doing the "take me on" meme
