Now That Iron Will Come Out Next Season, Will Lower Ranked Players Get More Respect?
A tier beneath Bronze has been something League has needed for awhile to dilute out those who were either so obviously trolls, genuinely new players to the game, and simply those who lacked proper understanding of gameplay and mechanics. Now that there will be a tier beneath Bronze, will low Ranked players start getting more respect? By lower ranked, I mean, like, Silver and Gold players.
For as long as I can remember, Silver and Gold, in the eyes of higher elo players, and the community in general, have been viewed as little else except try hard Bronze players, getting little to no respect, with even lower tier Platinum players occasionaly being put into that group as well. To take advice from a Silver player was considered to just be plain wrong and stupid of you, while on the boards, only Patinum players or above were "allowed" to make Gameplay posts, and not get ridiculed for being "low elo trash who don't know how to play". Now by getting more respect, I don't mean for people to suddenly treat Gold players like their gods, or anything along those lines, but simply be viewed better than they are now.
With the addition of Iron, it makes an even lower starting point, and yet another hurdle for players to go through to acheive Gold. With Bronze Five considered the "Unofficial Wood Tier" imagine what it'll be like for players, especially those new to League, to start in at a Rank that's lower than that, yet power through and make it to Silver or Gold. I feel like that, at least, is worthy of some respect and recognition.
