Blue Team advantage over the Red Team?

Hello,

Me and a couple of my friends have realized that the Blue Team (bottom left) has an advantage over the Red Team (top right) on Howling Abyss and Summoners Rift maps. The reason for this is because the interface even minimized to 0% is still taking a chunk out of the Red Teams sight where for example on the "Bot Lane" the interface hides a chunk of the bushes so champions need to move to place a ward or so they can click on an enemy when locked camera, but the blue team doesn't have that problem as they are playing from the lowest point of map. That comes up to the conclusion of the Blue Team getting an advantage in sight, range and reaction. I know many people that are also unhappy about that interface. Would it be a possibility to create an option which will either make the interface see-through, on top of the screen, invisible or even to rotate the map by 180 degrees for the people that prefer playing from the bottom of the screen? My idea is to make an option in the settings with the three available options: Spawn Blue Side, Spawn Red Side, Classic. Which would end up with people playing with their most comfortable field of view and more equal in some way. Thanks a lot. :) [slayer-jinx-wink]

It is not just the interface, lanes are easier to ward/defend on blue side. Only mid is somewhat the same for both sides.

Matchmaking takes this into account; blue wins more than red so red gets higher MMR averages to compensate.

It also factors in to how much MMR you win/lose at the end of the game.

Hmmm. Not really. I mean, yes, a person could make an argument for many things being an advantage, but even if they are an advantage, the more important point to be regarded for it is their extent and their impact and when there are hundreds of things more far more significant in those areas, it becomes harder and harder to call that an advantage. When it comes to the questionable advantage of it with the already arguable nature of how the vision cuts off where affects player when that can be mitigated or removed by just moving the camera, it just reinforces that conclusion.

For example, in this issue, the cause is not team advantage, not the map, nor is it even any thing with the interface. The root cause of the problem is the locked camera. (Sorry, I don't know what you are getting at with the ward.)

So the answer is no, this is not an example of there being a team advantage.
