Is the era of creating unique and interesting titles that aren't a copy-paste of the thread content dead too?

Minecraft has been mostly dead for the modern gamer quite some time now. I wouldn't mind fortnite and pubg being so popular if they weren't so damn boring to watch. Let's just walk around picking up items for 20 minutes until I die from someone I can't see. Real interesting content there.
