Lol Overwatch devs can't handle their own community xD
The toxicity has spread way too much for them apparently lol

It's good because the OW playerbase was in denial about it for so long since their game is perfect and without peer. As I've always said, the LOL playerbase is at least self aware.
Im at work and cant watch.
Isn't this the same team that changed Tracers pose because it was allegedly too sexual? AND the same team that changed Meis Chinese New year skin because she was allegedly too skinny?
Kaplan needs to get over himself.
This is what happens when you don't allow your dev team to talk back. The community starts using them as punching bag and thinks they can influence updates by yelling at them. Lyte is a bad person, but a damn good community manager.
Also the Overwatch community is worse than League's
Aka "Gosh they don't cushion every sentence out and mindlessly worship us and make us feel great about ourselves so we just ignore them because otherwise our feelings will get hurt and we already know we are infallible and the only reason there is some sort of feedback in general is to give you the illusion of being part of the games balance and whatnot" - Every (US) Dev Team ever

Tell me about it
The vocal gaming echo chamber really can be dickish though.
Maybe they need a couple people whose entire job is to engage with the community in a productive fashion and collect and sort feedback into a productive summary. And ofc someone with qualifiable experience with their game. Like a diplomat. It wouldn't be as personal for them either. Not saying dev's shouldn't listen themselves but they wouldn't have to do the writing
No surprise.
The developers job is to write code
why the fuck is it their job to handle the community?

Overwatch is riddled with overly-loud Genji players who get angry the second any character can stop them from jumping around like an ADD-riddled 12 year old.
i wouldn't want to interact with that either.
