Make LoL almost f2p-charge ten bucks. If people will pay ten bucks to post on SA forums...

People will pay ten bucks to play this game. Don't make it a paywall, give people a month so if they don't have any cash available they can do it next month. Then use that 810 million dollars (81,000,000 people play LoL every month) to improve the game massively. I'd gladly pay ten dollars to have the game improve to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. I mean, god damn, think of how much better this game would be after EIGHT HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS have been poured into it?

Not everyone would pay to play the game and Riot makes more than enough money with the current model. The only reason Riot doesn't make any drastic changes to improve the game is because they are greedy bastards

It by definition becomes a paywall. Quite a lot of people play League because it's free so Riot would be losing a decent chunk of players if they did this.

...That's not how game development works. Pouring more money or people into something doesn't make that thing necessarily better.

if riot forced me to pay 10 dollars to play they would have to change their eula so it wouldn't get torn to shreds in court and the lawyers would charge 1bil just to do that. also, how are you gonna convince people to play a game that has as terribly hard of a learning curve as LOL when they have to pay for the "privilege?" you DRASTICALLY underestimate the negative reaction the playerbase would have to "pay or gtfo"
