I'm having trouble getting the latest patch to update and I just wanna play league. I'll be able to update it later, but for now I just want to play. Is there any way to bypass the patch so that way I can just update it later when I'm busy with work?
No, because if you don't have the latest patch you're not playing on the same game version that the servers are running, and thus can't play at all.
No. If you could, the server would reject you attempting to connect to it because there'd be a mismatch between the current patch (8.9) and the patch you're attempting to use (8.8).
